Dear Financial Advisors,
There’s a strange thing that happens every December.
The world slows down… but your thoughts speed up.
The phone rings less, the meetings thin out, clients drift into holiday mode.
And in the stillness — when the year finally stops chasing you — you often begin hearing things you’ve been too busy to notice. A question here, a nudge there...a quiet recognition that perhaps the year you’re finishing may not be the year you want to repeat.
It’s in these final weeks — not in January, not in the spring, but right now — that some people make the decisions that shape the next chapter of their working lives.
Not with fireworks, not with bold resolutions...but with one honest moment:
"Is this truly where I want to be?"
The year hides nothing in December.
This is when you finally see the truth of your career as it currently stands:
- You know what’s working.
- You know what’s draining you.
- You know which clients give you energy — and which ones take it out of you.
- You know whether your firm still inspires you, or whether it’s simply familiar.
December is the great revealer. It puts the entire year under one clean light and quietly asks: "Is this enough?"
Most people never answer...they get swept back into routine once January starts its engines again. They postpone, they justify...they tell themselves "After the holidays", the same way they told themselves "After summer", "After Q2", "After things settle down?"
But things never settle down...only decisions do.
Let’s be honest:
2025 hasn’t been the easiest year for many advisors...myself included.
Regulations continue to tighten, markets swung, client expectations rose, many firm's politics sharpened and technology changed the pace to a sprint.
Yet, through it all, most of you held the line. You showed up, you advised, you kept your clients steady even when the world perhaps wasn’t.
But here’s the question few dare ask out loud:
Who kept you steady?
Did your firm support you?
Did it open doors or close them?
Did it challenge you or simply consume you?
Did it reward your loyalty or quietly take it for granted?
These are just some of the questions December gives you the opportunity and also courage to ask.
The thing about career-defining moves is this:
They almost never happen in the midst of chaos, they happen in the quiet.
They happen in the moment between what you’ve been doing…and what you know you could be doing.
I’ve spoken to many advisors who made international moves — to Dubai, Porto Portugal, Marbella Spain, Mexico, Vietnam, Mauritius — and many of them tell me a similar thing:
“It wasn’t a leap. It was a correction.”
A correction toward the career they knew they should have had all along. A correction toward the kind of clients, income, recognition, and daily work they were built for, a correction toward a life that felt larger than their postal code.
Not a dream -- a course adjustment.
...and so December — more than any other month — is when many of those adjustments become possible.
Let me pull back the curtain for a moment.
Most recruiters are already switching off now...they’re winding down.
They’re "circling back in January", most going on autopilot.
That’s the industry side of things. Those of you who know me by know I don’t really work like that. I actually never have.
November / December is our most important months of the year. It’s when many firms rev up their quotas and finalize their Q1 intakes. It’s when moves and relocations are discussed, it’s when the advisors who take themselves seriously actually make their moves — because they’re able to think more clearly, deliberately, without the noise.
We don’t push people, we don’t "sell" roles and neither do we don’t fling CVs around like confetti.
We do something far more valuable: We listen, we diagnose, we position.
We place people where they can RISE — not where they can merely land.
That’s the difference between mere recruiters…and PARTNERS.
So let me ask you a question — one that might stay with you longer than this email:
When you look back at 2025 a year from now, which version of yourself will you remember?
- The one who waited?
- The one who watched others make things happen?
- Or the one who finally decided that the next year deserves a better beginning than the last one gave you?
Truth be told, you don’t need another new year to change your life. You just need a decision — and this is probably the quietest, clearest moment you’ll have all year to make it.
Before the world gets loud again… talk to us.
Let us help you explore whether a move abroad — or a move upward — is not only possible, but perhaps overdue.
No pressure, just clarity when clarity matters most.
Some of the listings below or in our jobs section might be the spark -- and the conversation afterward might very well be the shift. Your next chapter might already be waiting — it simply needs your permission to begin.
The lights, the season, the stillness — they’re not just decorations, they’re a reminder:
Time is passing, potential is calling and December has this uncanny way of always telling the truth.
Let’s make sure you start 2026 where you belong, not just where you ended up.
